info
We are a group of recreational riders in Oak Park and neighboring communities. Riders of all ages and skill levels who enjoy the social aspects of cycling are welcome to join us as we continue Oak Park's rich tradition of cycling and advocating for a better cycling environment!
We are proud to be the only not-for-profit club in Oak Park devoted to cycling and fostering mutual respect between all who share our suburban streets.
We also proudly support the Active Transportation Alliance, a metro-wide non-profit advocacy organization that works to improve conditions for bicycling, walking and transit and engage people in healthy and active ways to get around.
If you are a driver and want to promote sharing the road, please order your Illinois "Share the Road" license plates now. Use this reservation form or go to www.bikelib.org for instructions and FAQs. |

Oak Park Area Cycling Commuters is a group specifically for cycling commuters located in Oak Park and the near western suburbs. It was created to promote cycling as a transportation alternative, and to contribute to making commuting by bicycle as convenient, safe, and enjoyable as possible. If you are looking for commuting companions, this is a good list to be on. There are many Oak Park Cycle Club members on this group, but it is not the Club's Listserv and you won't get official Club announcements if you only join this group.
